We have debated trying Murasaki for the last couple of years. I was always deterred by the negative reviews. Today we took family from out of town and tried it for the first time. I am so pleasantly surprised by our experience!
The service is average, but the food is excellent for the price point. We ordered many items to test including chicken and steak (medium) hibachi, Manhattan rolls, firecracker roll, and rainbow roll. Everyone at the table enjoyed the sushi which was excellent- especially for Anderson. The hibachi meat was well seasoned, vegetables were cooked well, rice was seasoned and enjoyable. I'm particular about white "yum-yum" sauce and enjoyed the different taste/texture. (It's a little more runny than some sauces I've had.)
This isn't a Japanese steakhouse if that's what you're expecting. It's a quick, sit-down Japanese restaurant that serves great food. We'll be going back for more! -

BEST BARTENDER EVER (HEATHER) food is wonderful and the majority of staff is GREAT!!! Has an alternative menu for folks watching their weight. Great atmosphere for everyone!! You can watch a game or enjoy eating!

Honestly best sushi I've had in a while. I've lived in and had sushi from Boston and Atlanta and this is one of the best, if not the overall best.
I ordered the $27 sushi for two. (Does not sound like a lot of food but the amount of fish that comes on the nigiri is very generous)
Two soup (we got one miso and one broth- miso was better)
Two salads with ginger (very fresh)
Three rolls (we got spicy tuna spicy shrimp and one other)
5 piece nigiri (to die for...so good)
I would say it's a little pricy for the area but totally worth the splurge.
Service was impeccable
But really nothing outshines the quality of the food.
I think the most important part of sushi is rice. (Sushi rice just sticky enough to hold together but not too sticky)
And murasaki gets it just perfect.
I'm almost 100 percent the chef is Japanese (making the sushi so legit)
If there was one thing I could change I wish they would give more choices for the rolls (for the $27 sushi for two special). -

Serious sushi craving. One of my favorite spots for this delicious treat. Decent prices, service, and selection. Never eaten a bad thing here. Surprised that some people have reported a less than desirable experience.

The service was pretty horrific. Who serves one persons food & the other not ready for 10+ minutes? My food was cold by the time my husband got his.
The food was... mediocre at best. The sushi rolls were so small, especially at the price point. It definitely wasn't worth the $50 we spent. We, more than likely, won't be back!
